John Buckley 1837-1912 married Bridget Dea /O’Dea 1841-1939 on the 27-10-1868 in Emly RC.

Michael J Buckley 1906-1968, emigrated to the USA and married Mary Ellen Ferry 1907-1967, a native of Corcreggan, Dunfanaghy, Co. Donegal on the 23rd Jan 1930 in Brooklyn, NY. When he died in the Bronx, NY in Sep 1968, Michael was survived by his son Kennedy Buckley 1930-2019, his daughter-in-law Joan M Buckley (nee) Skinner 1931-2014 & by grandchildren Kennedy & Karen J Buckley.
Mary Bridget Buckley 1906-1970 emigrated to the USA in Dec 1924 and married Donald Joseph Kilroy 1902-1967 in Manhattan, NY on the 5th Feb 1929. When she died on the 21st Apr 1970, she was survived by sons Thomas Kilroy 1931-2007, Kennedy 1932-2000 & Joseph A Kilroy and by her daughter Joan Ann Kilroy 1938-1997. Both Mary Bridget & her husband were interred in St Charles cemetery in East Farmingdale, Suffolk, NY
Myles John Buckley 1907-1960 emigrated to the USA and married Johanna Griffin 1912-1961, a native of Ballinulty, Cullen, Co. Tipperary in Brooklyn, NY on the 27th Apr 1935. Both he and his wife were interred in the Long Island National cemetery, Section 2K, Site 658 in East Farmingdale, Suffolk, NY.
Kennedy Anthony Buckley 1908-1987 emigrated to the USA in Dec 1926 and married Anna Miethke on the 27th Oct 1935 in Waukegan, Illinois. He became president of the Kencote Laminating & Processing Company that he founded in Lake Bluff, Illinois in 1955. When he died in Deerfield, Illinois on the 21st Jun 1987, he was survived by his wife.
Bridget Buckley (1909 - ), Known as Bridie. Became a nun in the Daughters of Charity order in Dublin.
Known as Sr. Mary Carmel.

Margaret Buckley (1912 - ) married carpenter Patrick McCarthy (1907 - ) a native of Caherconlish, Co. Limerick on the 29th Aug 1945 in Caherline RC, Co. Limerick.
Catherine Buckley (1917-2007) married Jeremiah (Jerry) Ryan 1923-1982 in 1950. She was interred with her husband at memorial 0183 in this cemetery.
Thomas Joseph Buckley 1916-1976, known as Joseph of this memorial, married Hanora Mary (Nora) Enright 1918 -2005 on the 11th Sep 1943 in Athlacca RC, Co. Limerick.
Nora Enright was born on the 23rd Jul 1918 in Tullerboy, Athlacca, Co. Limerick. Her parents were Thomas Enright 1879-1972 & Hanora (Nora) Riordan 1881-1947, who were married on the 7th Jan 1902 in Athlacca RC.
Thomas (Tom) Buckley 1950-2022, son of Joseph 1916-1976 & Nora Buckley 1918-2005 of this memorial died on the 15th Mar 2022. His obituary reads as follows :
The death has occurred of Tom Buckley of Higginstown, Athboy, Co. Meath and formerly of Ballyhone, Emly, Co. Tipperary on the 15th Mar 2022, peacefully, after a long illness borne with great dignity & courage, in the tender loving care of his family.
Pre-deceased by his loving wife Anna-Mai, nee Kelly on the 24th Apr 2011 & by his parents Joe and Nora.
Sadly missed by his heartbroken children, Ian, Áine (Leavy), Edel (O'Rourke) and Mary Rose, daughter-in-law, Michelle, sons-in-law, Patrick and Kane, his adored grandchildren Annie-Jane, Kate, Ciarán, Alanah-Mai ,Michael Kane, Tadhg & Tommy, sisters Bernadette, Patricia, Kate, Carmel, Margaret & Billie, brothers Kenny and Mike, brothers-in-law, sisters-in-law, nieces, nephews, relatives & friends.
Reposing at Mullen's Funeral Home, O'Growney St, Athboy this Monday afternoon, 21st March, from 4pm until 7pm. Removal on Tuesday morning, leaving his residence to St. James' Church, Athboy, arriving for Funeral Mass at 11am, followed by burial in St. James' Cemetery.
Tom Buckley's sister, Bridget Bernadette ( Bernie ) 1944 -2023, the eldest of her family, died on Nov 30th 2023. Her obituary reads as follows :
The death has occurred of Bridget Bernadette ( Bernie ) Farrell ( Williamson ) of Woodmount Nursing Home, 15 Melmount Road, Strabane, Co. Tyrone , Churchill, Co. Donegal & Celbridge, Co. Kildare on the 30th Nov 2023.
Peacefully in the presence of her loving family in Altnagelvin Hospital, Derry. Deeply regretted & sadly missed by her sons Derek (Churchill, Co. Donegal) & Keith (Edenderry. Co. Offaly), daughters- in law Theresa and Breda & her beloved grandchildren, Jade, Dermot, Chloe, Corinna, Amber & Colby. Always remembered by extended family members, neighbours & friends.
Bernie’s remains will repose in the Eternal Light Chapel of Rest, Mountain Top, Letterkenny, Co. Donegal this evening Thursday, 30th November, from 8pm-9pm. Removal then on Friday, 1st December, going to Cunningham Funeral Home, Celbridge, Co.Kildare, to repose from 6.00pm-8.00pm. Funeral Mass on Saturday, 2nd of December, in St. Patrick’s Church, Celbridge at 12.30pm followed by interment along side her beloved husband Dermot ( Derry ) Farrell in Donaghcumper Cemetery, Celbridge, County Kildare.
Joseph Buckley (1916-1976 ) of this memorial was the father–in–law of Timothy ( Sam ) Hartigan 1939-2002 of memorial 0270, who was the husband of his daughter, Kate Buckley.
