Thomas McGrath 1876-1947, son of Patrick McGrath 1834-1892 & Johanna Frawley 1836-1917 of Ballynagreanagh, Templebredon, Co. Limerick, married Bridget Power 1897 1978, daughter of Patrick Power 1843-1919 & Bridget O’Brien 1854-1934 of Knockroe, Kilteely, Co. Limerick on the 11th Feb 1925 in Kilteely RC, Co. Limerick.

His grandson, Thomas McGrath died on 18th March 1990. He was the son of Dan McGrath & Mary ( nee ) Sheahan of Duncummin, Emly, Co. Tipperary.

Mary McGrath, (nee) Sheahan, died on Jan 2nd 2026 and was interred at this memorial on Mon 5th Jan. Her parents were William Sheahan 1890 - & Alice O’Connor 1898-1956 who were married in Newmarket RC, Co. Cork on 26th Jan 1933. Her obituary reads as follows :

The death has occurred  of Mary McGrath (née) Sheahan of Duncummin, Emly, Co. Tipperary and St. Anthony's Nursing Home, Pallasgreen, Co. Limerick and formerly of Lisnagourneen, Castletownroche, Co. Cork.

 Mary passed away peacefully in the care of staff at St. John's Hospital Limerick on 2nd January 2026.Predeceased by her parents William and Alice, son Thomas, brothers Rev. Fr. Andy and John. nieces Aine and Mary and son-in-law Tom Cummins.

 Sadly missed by her loving family, adoring husband Dan, beloved mother to Patricia, Liam, Anne and Donal, sister to Hannah and Con, son-in-law Paul Power, daughters-in-law Patricia Cahill and Anne Sheehy, cherished grandmother to Serena, Mark, Zara, Zoe, Daniel, Anthony and Liam, sisters in law, nieces, nephews, cousins, relatives, kind neighbours and friends.

 Mary will be reposing at Davern's funeral home, Hospital, Co. Limerick on Sunday evening 4th Jan from 5.30pm until 7pm.

Funeral cortége arriving at St. Ailbe's church, Emly, Co. Tipperary on Monday morning 5th Jan for Requiem mass at 11.30amwith burial afterwards in the adjoining cemetery
