NB. Mary  Dineen,  nee  Fleming. 

Marriage to Nicholas Dineen (1807-1886), grocer & farmer  in  Ballyladers  RC, Co. Limerick  on  the  17-5-1849.

A son, James Dineen was  born  in  February  1851 and married  Catherine Hayes of Kilgarriff , Glenbrohane, Co. Limerick on the 22-02-1879 in Glenbrohane RC. Catherine was born in July 1858 to parents Daniel Hayes & Ellen Magner.

Nicholas Dineen (1807-1886) remarried to Mary Brazil . Children born to them included Margaret Dineen 1860, Francis Brazil Dineen 1862-1916, William 1864-1900, Helena  (Ellen) 1866, Johanna 1868 & Kate 1872.

Margaret Dineen married Patrick Meade in Ballylanders RC on the 09-02-1892.

Her sister , Ellen Dineen , married John Power in Bansha RC on the 30-04-1898.

William  Dineen 1864-1900, married Johanna ( Hannah Lewis 1869-1931, daughter of Michael Lewis & Bridget Power of Knockcarra, Bansha, Co. Tipperary on the 11th Apr 1894 in Bansha RC. Children born to them at Glennahaglisha, Ballylanders, Co. Limerick were Nicholas Augustine Dineen 1896-1974, Bridget Mary 1898 & William Joseph 1900-1970.

Nicholas Augustine Dineen 1896-1974, married Ellen Maguire , daughter of Bryan Maguire & Mary Daly of Glennahaglisha, Ballylanders on the 14th Feb 1926 in Thurles Cathedral, Co. Tipperary.

His brother William Joseph Dineen 1900-1970, married Mary Margaret ( Mamie ) Walsh 1917-1999, daughter of David Walsh on the 11th Feb 1941 in Thurles Cathedral also. Both William Joseph Dineen & his wife Mamie & his brother Nicholas Augustine are interred in Ballingarry cemetery, Glenbrohane, Co. Limerick at memorial LI-BLGY-0276 on the historicgraves website.

Francis Brazil Dineen (1862-1916) , known  as Frank, is the only man to have been President of the GAA ( 1895-1898 ) and General Secretary of it (1889-1901). In his youth, he was an accomplished athlete. He purchased a site on Jones' Road in Dublin in 1908 and donated it to the GAA in 1913, which became the present day Croke Park. Hill 16, was renamed The Dineen Hill 16 when Croke Park was renovated in 2006.

Frank was a sports journalist in Dublin in later life. He died unmarried, aged 54 from  a cerebral haemorrhage in St. Vincents Hospital, Dublin on the 18-04-1916. He was interred in St Paul's section of Glasnevin cemetery in Dublin.
