Edmond  Crowe  (1900-1982),  son  of  David  Crowe Mary  Roche  was born in Ballyvistea, Emly  on  the  30-12-1900. 

 He  married  Margaret  Keane  (1911-1983), daughter  of  William Keane Bridget  O’Brien  of  Hospital,  Co.  Limerick on the 26th Nov 1931 in Hospital RC. Margaret's sister, Ellen  Keane 1909-1978, married Michael Hennessy 1910-1979 of nearby memorial 0315

Their son, Jimmy  Crowe (1939-1971) died in a construction accident in England on the 19-07-1971

His brother, Edmond Crowe (1938-2008) died  30-04-2008 in Clonlara, Co. Clare and is interred in Doonass cemetery in Cloonlara.

Their brother William ( Liam ) Crowe 1936-2011 died in Wollongong, NSW, Australia on March 15th 2011.

Their brother Michael Crowe (1944-2013) died in London, UK on the 20-03-2013.

Mary Crowe  ( nee )  O'Connor  1933-2023, daugter - in - law of  Edmond  Crowe 1900-1982 & Margaret  Keane 1911-1983 died on the 1st  Apr 2023.  She was interred on the right hand side of this memorial on Wed 5th Apr 2023. Her obituary reads as follows :

Mary Crowe ( née ) O’Connor, of Bartoose, Emly, Co.Tipperary & formerly of Ardykeohane, Bruff, Co. Limerick, died on the 1st April 2023. Predeceased by her parents John & Julia, brother Joe, sisters Kathleen & Esther, her granddaughter Sarah & son-in-law Charlie Hayes.

Deeply regretted by her loving husband Davy, sons Eamonn (Tipperary) & David  (Kilfinane), daughters Margaret  Linnane ( Hospital), Julie Hayes (Emly), Mary Phipps ( Emly ), brother Denis, sisters Teresa (Limerick), Sheila, Jenny & Peggy (England), sons-in-law, daughters-in-law, brothers-in-law, sisters-in-law, 10 grandchildren, 10 great-grandchildren, nephews, nieces, relatives, good neighbours & friends.

Reposing at Fraser’s Funeral Home, Galbally, Co. Limerick on Tuesday evening Apr 4th from 6pm-8pm. Mary’s funeral cortège will arrive at St. Ailbe’s Church, Emly, on Wednesday morning Apr 5th at 11.15am for 11.30am Mass.  Burial afterwards in the adjoining cemetery.

NB. A new memorial was erected adjacent to this memorial to Mary Crowe (nee) O'Connor 1933-2023 in March 2024. A new kerb was also erected encompassing all three memorials. The insciption reads as follows :

Mary's husband  David  ( DavyCrowe 1934-2024, died in his 90th year on the 22nd Apr 2024 and was interred with his wife on Sat 27th Apr 2024. He was the son of Edmond ( Ned ) Crowe 1900-1982  &  Margaret  Keane 1911-1983 of this memorial. His obituary reads as follows :

The death has occurred of David ( Davy ) Crowe of Bartoose, Emly, Co. Tipperary, who passed away on 22nd April 2024 peacefully in Limerick University Hospital surrounded by his loving family. Pre-deceased by his parents Margaret and Ned, brothers Liam, Edmond, Jimmy, and Michael, sisters Margaret and Bea, son-in-law Charlie, and granddaughter Sarah.

Beloved husband of the late Mary, nee O'Connor and loving father of Eamonn, David, Margaret Linnane, ( Hospital ), Julie  Hayes, ( Emly ), and Mary Phipps, ( Emly ). Sadly missed by his loving family, brothers John and Thomas, sisters Maureen, Patricia, and Nora, sons-in-law, daughters-in-law, grandchildren, great grandchildren, nephews, nieces, relatives, and many friends.

Lying in repose in the Chapel of Peace in Fraser's Funeral Home, Galbally, Co Limerick, on Friday, 26th of April, from 6 to 8pm. Reception on Saturday, 27th of April, into St. Ailbe's Church, Emly, Co. Tipperary, for Requiem Mass at 11.30am, after which David ( Davy ) will be laid to rest in the adjoining cemetery..
