John Lonergan 1892-1976, son of John Lonergan & Bridget Reardon, married Catherine ( Kate ) Hogan 1901-2000, daughter of James Hogan & Mary Slattery of Drumcomogue, Emly on the 17th Feb 1931 in Emly RC, Co. Tipperary.

The obituary for their son John Joseph ( John Joe )  Lonergan 1932-2014 reads as follows :

The death has occurred of John Joseph (John Joe) Lonergan of Lisobyhane, Emly, Tipperary on the 16-6-2014.  Deeply regretted by his brother James, sisters Bridget, Christine and Mary Carmel, sister-in-law Margaret, brothers-in-law John and Larry, nephews, nieces, grand nephews, grand nieces, extended family, cousins, Johnny Bourke, Mary Ellen and family, Sheila Magner and family, Sr. Kevin, neighbours and friends.

Reposing Wed. evening at Fraser's Funeral Home Galbally, Co. Limerick from 6pm-8pm. Remains arriving at Emly Church at 8.45pm. Requiem Mass on Thursday at 10am. Burial afterwards in local Cemetery.

His brother James P ( Jimmy ) Lonergan 1933-2023, died in London, UK Christmas week 2023.
