NB, Cornelius McGrath (1844-1925) was recorded as a draper & vintner in both the 1901 & 1911 census for Emly village. His house and premises are currently owned by William (Bill) McInerney & his wife Phil.
Cornelius McGrath (1844-1925), son of John Mcgrath, married Margaret O'Brien of Chancellorsland, Emly on the 8th Feb 1877 in Emly RC.
Children born to them in Emly were John McGrath 25-11-1877. He was ordained a priest in Paris in 1902 and was PP of Moycarkey, Co. Tipperary 1935-1955 and was a Canon when he died there, aged 77 years on the 10th Feb 1955. He was interred in Moycarkey church grounds.
