NB.James  Daly, who died  in 2008, better  known  as  Jimmy  and  by  his  nickname  Doctor. 

He  was  born on  the   27-12-1915 to  parents  Richard  Daly 1873-1957  ( son  of  Richard  Daly 1835-1916  & Ellen  Crowe 1838-1893  & Mary  Anne  Burke 1880-1944 ( daughter  of  James  Burke  &  Ellen  Ryan  of Drumcomogue,  Emly ). 

Therefore,  Jimmy Daly  was  called  after  his  maternal  grandfather, James  Burke. He  was  the  goalkeeper  on  the  Emly  team  that  won  the  1938  County Tipperary  Junior  Football  Final. He  was  92 years old  when  he  died.

His  parents  Richard  Daly  &  Mary  Anne  Burke  were  married  in  Emly  RC  on  Feb 7th 1910..  

Other  children  born  to  them  included  Ellen  Mary ( Eileen )  Daly  1911-2008, Mary  Paul  1912,  Richard  ( Dick ) 1913-1980,   Catherine  Frances  1914,  Patrick  1918-1982 and  twins  Thomas  1920-1976  &  Michael  1920.
