Ellen Hickey, nee Condon, was born 16th Jan 1882 in Ballyscaddane, Scarteen, Knocklong, Co. Limerick to parents Edmond Condon & Anne Noonan, who were married in Galbally RC, Co. Limerick on the 5th Mar 1878.

Ellen Condon  married postman Laurence  Hickey (1885-1964), son of John Hickey & Mary Murnane of Monemore, Emly, Co. Tipperary in Knocklong RC, Co. Limerick on the 15th Aug 1910.

Children born at Ballyscaddane, Knocklong, Co. Limerick to Laurence Hickey (1885-1964) & Ellen Condon (1882-1920) included John Hickey 1911, Mary 1912, Edmond 1914, Anne (Nan) 1916-1973, Ellen 1917 & Timothy 1920.

Anne Condon, mother of Ellen  Hickey (1882-1920) did in fact die on the 26th Feb 1933 at Ballyscaddane, Knocklong and not in 1934 as recorded on this headstone. Her husband, Edmond  Condon predeceased her on the 21st May 1918.

Anne (Nan) Hickey 1916-1973 was a daughter of Laurence Hickey (1885-1964) & Ellen Condon (1882-1920.

Nan's  brother Edmond Hickey, born 1914, married Sarah Ann Daniels , daugter of William Daniels of 98 Devenish Rd, Kimmage , Dublin in St Agnes RC, Crumlin Dublin on the 27th Dec 1943. Their son Lawrence J Hickey  was born in Dublin in 1945.

Ellen Hickey, born 1917, daughter of  postman Laurence Hickey 1885-1964, married  Timothy Keogh, son of Jeremiah Keogh of Ballinvreena, Emly in Knocklong RC, Co. Limerick on the 17th Mar 1943
