NB.  John Purcell born 24-11-1909 at Monemore, Emly, to parents John Purcell, a farmer and Mary Merrigan. Siblings were William (1911-1963), Philip 1913, Margaret Mary 1914, Johanna 1915 &  James 1919.

John Purcell (1909-1989) married Kathleen Hogan (1912-1985), daughter of John Hogan & Margaret Cooney of Killokennedy, Co. Clare in St. Josephs RC, Limerick City on the 14-10-1942.

John Purcell (1866-1951), son of John Purcell & Margaret O’ Brien of Monemore, Emly, married Mary Merrigan (1881-1948), daughter of William Merrigan & Johanna Quirke of Ballinahow, Bruis, in Templemore RC on the 10-2-1909. Mary Merrigan’s address was recorded as Ballinlonty at the time of her marriage.

John Purcell of Monemore, Emly, married Margaret O’Brien of Duntryleague, in Galbally RC on the 24-2-1852.  Family were Anne 1853, Philip (1855-1933), William 1857, Denis 1861- 1939 & John  (1866-1951)

Anne Purcell, born 1853, daughter of John Purcell & Margaret O’Brien, married Richard Hourigan of Ballynadruckilly, Lattin, Co. Tipperary, in Emly RC on the 26-2-1884.

James (Jimmy) Purcell (1947-2019) of Monemore, Emly, son of John Purcell (1909-1989) & Kathleen Hogan(1912-1985), died on the 09-07-2019 and was interred at this memorial on Thursday 11-07-2019. At the time of his death, he was survived by his wife Brigid, sons John, Philip & James, daughter Kathleen, brother John & sisters Marina & Mary.
