A kerbed Celtic cross.  The kerb is almost covered by grass.

NB.  The William J Ryan who erected the stone and the William J who died in 1942 are the same person.

Cromhill, Kilteely parish, Co. Limerick.

James Ryan 1840-1921 (of this memorial ), married Julia Bourke 1837-1876 on Mar 1st 1862. Their children born at Cromhill, Kilteely, Co. Limerick  included Catherin e Ryan 1862, Margaret 1864, Mary 1868, Hanora 1869, Julia 1871, Ellen 1873 & William J 1876-1942 (of this memorial). Their mother Julia died of puerperal  fever on Nov 12th 1876 just  6 days after William’s birth.

William J Ryan 1876-1942, married Mary Ryan 1885- , daughter of James Ryan & Catherine Allen of Mitchelstowndown, Knocklong, Co. Limerick on Feb 19th 1914 in Knocklong RC.

Their daughter Catherine (Kitty) Ryan 1917-1988 (of this memorial ) married  John Hennessy 1915-1997, son of John Hennessy 1875-1952 & Alice Cloghessy 1877-1957 of Lisobyhane, Emly, Co. Tipperary on Jul 18th 1942 in Kilteely RC, Co. Limerick. NB. See John Hennessy 1915-1997 memorial number 0221.
