NB. Patrick McCarthy 1818-1878 was a shopkeeper in Hospital, Co. Limerick and his son John 1852-1889 was a Primary School teacher who died of tuberculosis. Informant of John's death was his sister Bridget McCarthy  abt.1858 -1942.

Bridget McCarthy, a shopkeeper in Hospital, married  John Woods 1857-1925, a shoemaker in Hospital, son of John Woods 1804-1873 & Ellen Slattery 1814-1900 on Feb 5th 1894 in Hospital RC.

Children born to John Woods and Bridget McCarthy were John Woods 1894, Patrick 1898-1910 &.James 1903-1972, Patrick Woods, aged 12, died of tuberculosis.

James Woods 1903-1972, married Mary ( Mollie ) Canty 1918-1985, daughter of James Canty 1886-1972 & Hannah ( Hannie ) Brogan 1886-1962 of Knocklong, Co. Limerick on Apr 30th 1940 in Glenbrohane RC, Co. Limerick. A son of their's, Joseph Woods died Dec 28th 1998, aged 50 yrs.
