NB.  Father Edmund Ceslaus McEniry O.P. was born in Ballyvistea, Emly on the 11th April 1891. Emigrated to the U.S.A. in 1911 and was ordained in the Dominican Order on June 12th 1921.

In September 1922, he was assigned to Columbus, Ohio as professor at Aquinas College High School. In 1923, he was appointed as  Chaplain of Mt. Carmel Hospital.

He was present at the Ohio State Penitentiary fire in April 1930 as was Emly born Fr. Albert James O’Brien. He left Columbus in 1948 for an assignment in Philadelphia.

He was the author of at least seven books. He died, aged 86 years, on the 4th December 1977 at Marian Manor, Lebanon, Kentucky, U.S.A.

Patrick B McEniry was a private in the US army.  KIA in France on the 13-10-1918.
