Parents of Michael  Croaker / Croker  were Jeremiah Croker & Bridget Bourke who were married in Doon R.C, Co. Limerick on the 2nd February 1845.

Jeremiah’s address was recorded as Gortavalla, Doon and Bridget’s  as Lattin, Co. Tipperary.

Jeremiah died at Garrydoolis on the 01-12-1883, aged  76.

His wife, Bridget died at Cloughaready on the 20-02-1894, aged 75.

Their son, Michael Croker (1861-1940) married Elizabeth Hayes (1861-1934), daughter of John Hayes (1834-1881) & Mary Walsh (1835-1893) of Emly on the 13-06-1886 in Emly RC. Children born to them included Bridget Croker 1887, Jeremiah 1891, Mary 1892, John 1894, John 1896, Thomas 1898 -1918, Elizabeth 1900 & John (Jack) 1902-1937.

Michael Croker died on the 20-02-1940. His wife, Elizabeth (Lizzie) nee Hayes, predeceased him on the 01-06-1934.

Their son, John (Jack) Croker  (1902-1937)  married  Josephine (Josie) O'Callaghan (1901-1986), daughter of James O'Callaghan & Margaret Crowe  in Emly RC on the  17-03-1928. 

Their daughter,  Elizabeth  (Isabel)  Nugent, nee Croker ( 1930-2018),  late of 12 St. Ailbe's Drive Emly died on Saturday, the 04-08-2018 and was interred here on Tuesday 07-08-2018.

Isabel  Nugent (1930-2018) was predeceased by her husband  Patrick Nugent , of Coolnadown, Templebredon son of Thomas Nugent & Helena  Fitzgerald and by her sister Peggy  Gray (1931-2014), who died in Runcorn, Cheshire on the 22-06-2014. 

At the time of her death, Isabel Nugent was survived by her siblings, by daughters Helena Nugent, Joan & Mary Heelan, Betty Carmody, Berna Barriscale, Geraldine Nugent and by sons John & Tom Nugent.

Michael (Micky) Croker (1932-2018) of Cloughready, brother of Isabel Nugent (1930-2018), died some nine days after her on the 13-08-2018 and was interred here on Friday the 17-08-2018.

At the time of his death, he was survived by his wife Sarah (Sally), daughters Joan Niller, Lorraine Ryan, Sarah Croker, by sons John, Michael, Seamus & Eddie and by his siblings Josie Moore and Jimmy & Sean Croker.

John Nugent (1950-2020),  eldest son of  Patrick Nugent & Isabel Nugent, nee Croker (1930-2018), late of Suttons Buildings & formerly of Meadow Park Lane, Ballyvolane, Cork, died on the 05-12-2020. He was interred in St Catherines cemetery, Kilcully, Cork on Thursday 10-12-2020.

At the time of his death, John was survived by his wife Cathy, nee Horgan, by his sons Barra, Peter & Michael, by his daughters Katie, Isabelle & Sue Ellen, by his brother Tom Nugent & by his sisters Helena Nugent, Joan & Mary Heelan, Betty Carmody, Berna Barriscale & Geraldine Nugent

James (Jimmy) Croker (1933-2022), in his 89th year, died on the 09-01-2022. He was a brother of Isabel  Nugent (1930-2018) & Michael (Micky) Croker (1932-2018) of this memorial. Jimmy was interred  on Wednesday 12th Jan 2022 at memorial 0038, adjacent to memorial 0037 at which his mother Josephine (Josie) Croker, nee O'Callaghan (1901-1986)  is interred. Surviving siblimgs of Jimmy at the time of his death are Sean Croker & Josie Moore.

James Croker's sister Josephine ( Josie )  Moore ( nee ) Croker  1936-2025 died on Nov 29th 2025 and was interred with her husband John Moore 1920-2004 in Emly's new cemetery on Tues Dec 2nd. John Moore's parents were Daniel Moore & Catherine Corby who were married in Lattin RC, Co. Tipperary on Feb 18th 1914. Josephine's obituary reads as follows :

The death has occurred of Josephine Moore ( née ) Croker of Main St, Emly,  Co.Tipperary who passed away peacefully on November 29th, surrounded by her loving family and in the tender care of the staff of Cluain Árann, Tipperary Town.

Predeceased by her beloved husband John, sisters Peggy and Isabel, and brothers Mikie and Jimmy.Sadly missed by her sons Colm and Seán, brother Seán, grandchildren David, Heather, Sophie, Jonathan, Shauna, Dean, Dylan, Seán Paul and Mollie Ann, great-grandchildren, Colm’s partner Mary Russell, her dear friend Mary Russell ( Ballylanders ), nieces, nephews, relatives, neighbours and many friends.

 Reposing at the Chapel of Peace, Fraser's Funeral Home Galbally, Co. Limerick on Monday, 1st December, from 5.00pm to 7.00pm, followed by Evening Prayers. Reception on Tuesday, 2nd Dec for Requiem Mass at 11.30am in St. Ailbe’s Church, Emly, followed by burial in the local cemetery.
