Michael McCarthy Abt 1826-1886 married Hanora Quinlan 1835-1892 in Emly RC, Co. Tipperary on Feb 19th 1860. Children born to them included Jeremiah McCarthy 1862-1879, Michael 1864-1892, Denis 1867-1922 (of this memorial), Gerald 1871-1932 & Mary 1872-1873.

Denis McCarthy 1867-1922, married Margaret Walters / Waters 1873-1966, daughter of John Walters / Waters & Margaret O'Meara / Mara of Knockatona, Caherconlish, Co. Limerick on Mar 6th 1898 in Inch St Laurence RC, Co. Limerick. John Walters, of Caherconlish, son of John, married Margaret O' Mara, daughter of Timothy of Ballyhourigan, Killoscully, Co. Tipperary on Feb 28th 1868 in Killoscully RC.

Children born to Denis McCarthy 1867-1922 & his wife Margaret 1873-1966 (of this memorial), included Michael McCarthy Jan 1899-1983. John Nov 1899-1904, Hanora (Norah) 1901, Jeremiah 1903, Margaret 1904, Mary 1907, Johanna 1909, Elizabeth 1911, Denis 1915-1994 (of this memorial) & John 1916.

Denis McCarthy's death in 1922 was due to septic cellulitis of an elbow wound.
