Edmond Heffernan 1838-1909, married Catherine Kelly 1855-1924 on Nov 4th 1873 in Emly RC. Children born to them included John Heffernan 1874-1939, William 1876-1946, Margaret 1878-1949, Mary 1880-1938, Michael 1882, Edmond 1884, Thomas 1887, Catherine 1888 & Denis 1891-1950 (of this memorial).

Denis Heffernan 1891-1950 firstly married Mary Mitchell 1891-1926, daughter of Michael Mitchell & Mary Manning on Feb 4th 1913 in Emly RC. Children from this marriage included  Patrick Heffernan 1913-1963, Anne 1919, Kate (Kathleen) 1920-1995 ( of memorial 0230) & Edmond (Red Ned) 1921-1994 (of this memorial).

Denis Heffernan 1891-1950, nicknamed the Gunner because he joined the British Army, remarried to Mary Farrell 1905-1985 (of this memorial), daughter of Thomas Farrell 1869-1945 & Catherine Deely 1869-1955 of Rathanny, Hospital, Co. Limerick on Oct 7th 1931 in Emly RC. Children of this second marriage included  Denis Heffernan 1932-1987 (of this memorial) Ellen 1937,  Elizabeth 1940, Margaret 1942 & Norah 1942.
