NB.  William Healy –Brennan, born Co. Kerry, married Johanna Foley of Chancellorsland, Emly on the 11th February 1908 in Emly RC.

William’s  age was recorded as 40 and his  father  as Michael, a labourer.  Johanna’s father was recorded as Thomas, a bricklayer.

Their  son, Thomas  (Tommy ) Brennan was born in Emly on the 17th Dec 1913, the youngest of four children born to them.

Tommy  Brennan  married  Bridget  (Biddy )  Fitzgerald of Cromhill, Kilteely, Co. Limerick in Tipperary Town RC on the 17-08-1941.  She was born  on the 13-05-1918 in Cromhill, Kilteely, Co. Limerick to parents  Patrick  Fitzgerald  (1882-1969)  &  Bridget  Dillon  (1888-1978). Tommy Brennan & his wife Bridget  came to live in Farran, Emly  in May 1955 , having previously resided in Emly village.. 

Bridget (Biddy) Brennan (1918-2016) died  on the 01-12-2016, having  been predeceased  by her husband  Tommy  (1913-1989),  daughters  Mary  Duffin (1943-2000) ,  Catherine  Laffy  (1954-2002)   and by  her infant  children Joanne  (1948 )  &  Brian  Kevin (1950).

Bridget  Brennan  at the time of her death, was survived by  her sons  Liam, Tom,  Ailbe &  Paddy  and by daughters  Joan Higgins,  Chris Bailey,  Breda  Ennis,  Frances  Jenkins  &  Valerie  Keith.

Bridget  Brennan was interred  in  this  plot  on  Monday  05-12-2016.  Her daughter Frances D Jenkins (1955-2017), died in Bristol, UK on the 05-07-2017 and was cremated there on the 11-08-2017. Her ashes were interred in this plot on Sunday 3rd December 2017.

Teresa  (Teasie)  Brennan, nee Cleary (1951-2022), a daughter in law of Tommy Brennan (1913-1989) & Bridget (Biddy) Brennan (1918-2016) and wife of their son Paddy Brennan of Farran, Emly died on Saturday 05-02-2022 and was interred in St Marys (The Hill ) cemetery in Knockainey, Co. Limerick on Tuesday 08-02-2022. Her obituary reads as follows :

 Teresa  (Teasie) Brennan, née ( Cleary ), Farran , Emly, Co. Tipperary, on the 5th Feb 2022. Predeceased by her parents John and Margaret, by brothers, Patsy and Ronnie. Deeply regretted by her loving husband Paddy, daughters Louise and Nollaig, son Patrick, sisters Bridget, Mary, Joanie, Peggy and Bernie, brothers Jimmy, Bobby and Joe, son-in-law John, daughter-in-law Francesca, brothers-in-law, sisters-in-law, grandchildren, Amy, Andy, David, Emmet, Teddy, Rosa, nephews, nieces, cousins, neighbours, relatives and friends.

Reposing at her residence at Farran (E34 KW96) Monday evening from 4-6pm. Teresa's funeral cortége will leave her residence Tuesday morning at 11am for 11.30am Mass in St. Ailbe's Church, Emly. Burial afterwards in Knockainey (The Hill ) cemetery, Co. Limerick.

James  ( Jim )  Bailey  1951-2022  of  Lyreneague,  Rockchapel,  Co. Cork,  a  son - in - law  of  Tommy  Brennan  1913-1989  &  Bridget  ( Biddy )  Brennan  1918-2016  &  husband  of  their  daughter  Chriss  Brennan,  died  on  Tuesday  Dec  20th  2022  &  was  interred  in  Rockchapel  cemetery  on  Friday  Dec  23rd  2022
