Sir Alasdair MacColla Ciotach MacDonnell

renowned Commander Scotland 1644-5 and

Great Rebellion Ireland 1641-47. Interred

here with Nordic rites 16 November 1647.

His incomparable valour is celebrated in

the Irish tune "MacAlasdrum's March"
