Notes:

Joseph Bullen (1779-1883) aged 54 and Mary Chambers (1779-1831) aged 52

Mary Chamber's parents were William Chambers (1751-1811) and Ann McCar?(1752-1828 and although they lived at Kilbrogan, they were married at Murragh on 13th July, 1777.  They had five known children:  Mary Chambers (1779-1831), William Chambers (1783-), Ann Chambers (1787-), Jane Chambers (1796-) and Elizabeth Chambers (1790-1804).

Joseph Bullen's parents were Walter Bullen (?-1810) and Sarah Bennett.  No marriage record has been found for this couple but they are believed to have been Methodists.  Walter Bullen held land in Raheen (Parish of Murragh) and a camflet manufacturing business in Blackpool Cork City.  He is believed to have built and owned Bulen's Alley in Blackpool.

Joseph had the following siblings:  Thomas Bullen (1778-1854) a farmer at Raheen and Carhue, John Bullen who lived in Cork City, Walter Bullen (1782-1860), a farmer in Bengour (Murragh), Henry Bullen (1783-1849, farmer, pawn broker and shop keeper of Bandon (He is also buried at Christ Church but his grave hasn't yet been located, Mary Bullen, Elizabeth Bullen and Sarah Bullen.

Joseph Bullen and Mary Chambers were married at Christ Church Kilbrogan on 26th April, 1807 and had the following children:  Sarah Bullen (1811-1880), single (buried at Christchurch but grave not found), William Bullen (1813-1879), Mary Ann Bullen (1820-1891) and Elizabeth Jane Bullen (1823-?)

Joseph Bullen was a Dyer and Leather Seller of North Main Street, Bandon and he also held the leaseholds of several properties in North Main Street.

On Joseph Bullen's death, his son William took the responsibility of caring for his sisters and consequently did not marry until he was 49 when he married Mary Elizabeth Tartt at St Luke's, Cork City (11th Sept 1862).  They had 7 children, one of whom (Joseph Edward Bullen), is buried at Christ Church.  William Bullen became an eminent and wealthy business man in South Main Street, Bandon.  He also held the lease to 800 acres of land.

William Bullen is also buried at Christ Church (plot 70) and his wife is buried in London.
