On 2nd June 1778 Mason Alcock, AB was admitted to Lislee and Kilsillagh which was vacant as a result of the death of Bligh.  He became vicar of Durrus, Cork in 1805.

Mason Alcock was the grandson of Alexander Alcock, the Dean of Lismore by Elizabeth daughter of Sir John Mason of Waterford, Knight.  He was the fourth son of Alexander Alcock, Archdeacon of Waterford by, Sarah, sister of the first Viscount Jocelyn.  He married Judith Jones in 1782 in Cork.  They had

Alexander Mann Alcock, the eldest son, was born in 1785 and died in 1847. Educated in Bandon, then of Rock Castle, Innishannon.  Appears in Kings Inn Admission papers in 1804.

Edward Jones Alcock was the second son of Mason.  He was ordained Deacon on 20th June 1813 and priest on 31st July 1814 both in Cork.  In 1817 he became curate of Ballymodan in Bandon and afterwards Curate of Durrus.  From 1829 to 1842 he was vicar of Durrus and from 1842 to his death in 1857 he was rector of Kilmeen.
