A true and sincere friend, a faithful and

Affectionate husband,   a pious and devoted

Christian.  He lived to Christ His Saviour.

Now he sleeps in Jesus,

Waiting the resurrection morn,

His mourning widow

As caused this tablet to be erected

In a Church of which he was the founder,

as a testimony of her ardent and

unalterable affection,  and of his

numerous and exalted virtues.
