This memorial was made by John Mc Evoy who was the local carpenter and he was noted for some  fine works in carpentry in the locality.  John came originally from Kilmacow and  his brother was the  Station Master with  C.I.E  there .

John Mc Evoy died the 9th October 1961 aged 93 years. John’s wife Ellen nee Fitzgerald died 30th November 1956.  His wife’s stepsisters Brigid O Neill died 4th November 1970 aged 83 and Margaret Kelly nee O Neill died 12th January 1974 aged 82 years.
