of Sylvarius Jones RM

who departed this life April 14th 1847 aged 57 years

He was faithful in the performance of his public and private duties

A magisrate zealous and just while humane and kind

husband and father affectionate and beloved an Englishman

by birth but an Irishman in feeling and having often in life

the esteem due to such virtues may he recieve their reward from

the source of all while through the merit of Christ ------

he --- & rest in peace amen this

testimont was erected by his afflicted widow
