This tomb is erected

by his faithful wife Mary

Here also is interred their beloved

and gifted child

who died on the 29th March 1836

Theres not a joy the world

can give like that it takes away

and Mary his wife

who departed this life

on the 4th of November

1850 in the 68th year

of  her age

and Mary His daughter who died 9th July 1869

aged 50 years
